  1. Establish when and with whom to use rational self assessments with clients.

  2. Review the history and science behind REBT and how events, thoughts, and feelings interact.

  3. Determine rational and irrational thoughts clients present with 5 concrete questions.

  4. Explore strategies to trace schema with clients and process feelings regarding their core beliefs in order to alter one’s self-concept.

  5. Practice how to assist clients in developing discrepancies from irrational thoughts.

  6. Utilize and integrate newly-formed rational thoughts into the clients’ life.

  7. Become proficient in learning the rational self assessment process to change or reduce the intensity of unwanted feelings clients have.
